CANBERRA STADIUM FLICKS THE SWITCH ON ENERGY
Up to 16 night sporting matches are set to be powered by solar energy each year thanks to the installation of 72 new solar photovoltaic panels on the roof of Canberra Stadium, Minister for Energy, Simon Corbell said today.

This section has been set up to give the community information on the master planning that is currently being undertaken for Canberra Stadium.
Canberra Stadium is a 25,000 capacity stadium that was initially developed in 1977 and was formally known as the Bruce Stadium. It has an interesting history, having been through three phases since it was first developed. It began life as an athletics stadium.
In accordance with the Territory’s objectives to improve sport and recreation opportunities, the ACT Government have launched a project to develop a master plan for the venue.
