BEHIND THE SCENES TOURS
You can treat your guests to a special behind the scenes tour of Canberra Stadium. The tour includes interesting facts of the stadiums history from the early years to the present day.
This is your chance to visit the media suites, production room, the players’ tunnels and the players’ facilities. You can also experience the rare opportunity of walking down the tunnel out to the field of play.
The tour ends in the ActewAGL ACT Sport hall of fame. This showcases all of Canberra’s great sporting legends including Ricky Stuart, Bradley Clyde and Robert De Castella.
This is a perfect opportunity to break for lunch and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Canberra Stadium on non-event days.
PRE DINNER DRINKS
For die-hard footy fans, here is your chance to sit and have drinks where Mal Meninga and Laurie Daley from the Canberra Raiders, would have gone through their game strategies, or where the CA Brumbies were the night of their Super 12 final victory when they ran out to a record crowd of over 28,000 fans.
Pre-dinner drinks in the Players Change rooms and the Players Tunnel really offers a unique and rare opportunity to share in the excitement of Canberra Stadium with your guests.
Actewagl ACT SPORTS HALL OF FAME
The ACT has a rich and distinguished sporting past. The ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame was established to ensure that this sporting history is preserved for future generations.
Established in 1995, the ACT Sport Hall of Fame recognises the achievements and dedication of sporting greats and administrators alike.
A special sub-committee has been formed to administer the Hall of Fame, with representation from the ACT sport community, the ACT corporate community and the Government. There are two types of membership into the ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame: Full and Associate.
Full membership is for athletes only, who have been retired for at least 3 years, and Associate membership is for administrators, officials, referees and other support staff. The year 2000 has seen the new ActewAGL ACT Sport Hall of Fame exhibit in the Mal Meninga Stand at Canberra Stadium.
Laurie Daley statue was installed in recognition of his contribution to Rugby league which was installed on 9 August 2001.
